Welcome to the Neighborhood

Haight Ashbury

If there's any San Francisco area that evokes images of flower children, iconic bands, tie-dye clothing, and cultural musings of the 1960s, it's Haight Ashbury. Today, this area is a mixture of colorful Victorian homes, schools, hip shops, and trendy restaurants that reflect the community's colorful history and modern growth. Surrounded by Golden Gate Park, Buena Vista Park, Alamo Square, and the Panhandle, the community offers beautiful landscapes and golden vistas. From vibrant Banksy murals to Hippie Hill – living in Haight Ashbury is a pure San Franciso delight!

Sights. Culture. Vibe.

Once home to The Grateful Dead, Janis Joplin, and Jefferson Airplane, Haight Ashbury is vibrant and full of artistic flavor. The vibe carries the undercurrents of San Francisco's 1960s hippie counterculture while embodying its modern ideals.

Golden Gate Park: Access to Golden Gate Park is a peak selling point for this neighborhood, giving locals easy access to many of the top attractions, including the carousel, AIDS Memorial Grove, Conservatory of Flowers, Botanical, and Japanese Gardens.

Upper Haight: Discover a kaleidoscope of painted gingerbread Victorians, cozy coffee houses, and jaw-dropping views of the city, this part of the neighborhood is bike-friendly, a bit scruffier, and laid back.

Lower Haight: Home to artists, musicians, and the San Francisco Zen Center. This area has some of the most efficient bicycle routes to downtown, the Mission District, Golden Gate Park, and Ocean Beach. The famous bicycle route The Wiggle zig-zags through the community.
